About Past-life Therapy

Past-life work is a serious undertaking. It can be done on a whim, but when it is, it is often unfruitful and inefficacious. The only reason to engage in a past-life regression is to resolve past-life issues or advance your psychospiritual development. Claims of having been famous people, fantasies, and false memories are always troublesome; thus a client’s solid foundation in past-life work is a prerequisite before hypnotic regression work can be attempted.

You may have experienced past-life memories through regression techniques or on your own, spontaneously. Regression is generally understood to be a turning back or reflecting upon earlier experiences through work with memory.

I consider past-life regression to be an altered state of consciousness which is intended to facilitate previous-life memory/recall. This inner state can be produced by either a hypnotic induction (an extended relaxation process) or, less commonly, through guided meditation, which I  facilitate in a safe, face-to-face environment under the guidelines provided by the International Association for Regression Research and Therapies.

Dr. Saunders has written extensively in the area of past-life recall and its psychospiritual implications. She has advanced certification in intuitive past-life regression through the International Association of Regression, Research and Therapies, and has conducted in-depth research in the field. She has worked with people who have had both advanced recall and those who have had minimal experience of their past-life memories. She distinguishes between facilitated or regressed recall and nonfacilitated (or spontaneous) recall; and utilizes such recognized transpersonal classifications as spiritual emergency and spiritual emergence to identify these surfacing memories.
